Credentials:
Mr. Wnek has a B.A. in Biology, a Masters in Teaching, and is presently
in the doctoral program in Environmental Science. He is a very popular
and engaging teacher at the Ocean County Vocational-Technical School’s
Marine Academy of Technology and Environmental Science and earned the
1998-1999 Ocean County Teacher of the Year Award. He was a member of
the Barnegat Bay National Estuary Program’s Citizen Advisory Committee
from the inception of the Program in 1995, and serves on the boards and
advisory committees of numerous other organizations.
Presentation:
His
presentation could include information about the ecology of Barnegat
Bay, including macro fauna; the biology and ecology of the Diamondback
Terrapin; as well as educational issues and integrating Barnegat Bay
into classroom curricula.
Availability:
Mr. Wnek
will travel to most areas within New Jersey to address Adult, College,
High School, Middle School, and Elementary School groups. He is
available weekday evenings and weekend afternoons. He does not require
reimbursement for his travel expenses and there is no charge for his
program.
