Mr. O’Brien
is the Past President and member of the Advisory Board of the New Jersey
Historical Society; past Chairman of the Advisory Board for the Palm
Beach Maritime Museum; Past President and Current Director of the Toms
River Seaport Society; Co-founder and Past Director of the New Jersey
Museum of Boating; Founder of the Barnegat Bay Sailing Hall of Fame;
Member of the Sailing Advisory Committee of Ocean County College, Past
President of the Bay Head Historical Society; Member of the Ocean County
Historical Society ; and a writer and lecturer on The History of
Boating in New Jersey and The History of Barnegat Bay. He
contributes articles to many trade publications and is the founder of
Wooden Boats NJ. He is a purveyor and restorer of wood boats.
Presentation:
He will
make a power point presentation on the Barnegat Bay’s history and
ecology.
Availability:
He will
speak to your Adult, College, High School, Middle School, and Elementary
School group on weekdays (including evenings) and on weekend
afternoons. He will travel to Ocean and Monmouth Counties and would
like to be reimbursed for his travel expenses, if funds are available.
He would request a $100 donation to the NJ Museum of Boating for his
program.
