New Name, New Look, Same Organization -- the BBNEP is now the                                 Barnegat Bay Partnership                           The Barnegat Bay National Estuary Program now has a new name – the Barnegat Bay Partnership -- and a new logo, pictured here.

Over the past several years, we increasingly recognized that our former name and public “brand image” were not easily remembered or recognized by many groups with which we work.  We were often confused with other organizations and our partners were not always recognized or acknowledged appropriately.

With the support of our Advisory Committee, we began a comprehensive branding project last fall to address this issue as part of our Communications Planning.  We solicited proposals from the marketing and graphic design community, and chose the New York-based firm Raven & Crow.  With their expert assistance, our staff engaged key stakeholders to develop a clearly recognizable and easily-understood name and image for our organization.  The name Barnegat Bay Partnership communicates at a glance the nature of our organization's structure; the simplified logo should improve our recognition; and lastly the logo tag line -- "Research Educate Restore" -- communicates our priorities.

Our name change is now official, however it may take some time to fully transition all of our materials, including this website, into the new look.  The new Barnegat Bay Partnership website, launching this summer, will feature our new logo and name exclusively.  Stay tuned.   If you have any questions about our name or logo change, please contact us, (732) 255-0472.
